AUC is a versatile method with different experimental approaches – sedimentation velocity, equilibria, and density gradients are examples for different experimental techniques. Density variation (measurements in deuterated solvents) further expands the capabilities of these techniques. Our team is experienced and creative in designing AUC experiments for maximum benefit.
AUC addresses a large set of hydrodynamic properties, allowing for in-depth characterization of particles and molecules in respect to their size, mass, density, and conformation. AUC is the only physical method capable of separating particles by their density, a property most useful for discriminating objects of similar mass and size. A large set of software tools, both developed in-house or by leading AUC scientists, is at hand to address different tasks and target properties. We are experienced in using these complex tools that require both insight and experience.
